The majority of Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) will attend the courses on Communication and Outreach (nwt 10b, June 30 - July 1, 2021) and on Gender awareness and Minorities (nwt 11, July 2, 2021) in presence. Both courses are organised by the THREAD team at University of Ljubljana with contributions by C3M d.o.o., by THREAD's partner organisations SPACE-SI and Igmat d.d. Building Materials Institute and by external lecturers.

The course on Communication between science and industry, Outreach (nwt 10b) addresses topics like knowledge transfer, social media activities in employment oriented networks, the Erasmus+ programme and best practice experiences at C3M, SPACE-SI and Igmat. In the late afternoon of June 30, the participants will enjoy a guided tour on Krka river followed by the networking dinner of this course.

The course on Gender awareness and minorities (nwt 11) on July 2 starts with a presentation of the Committee on Equal Opportunities in Science (with activities in Slovenia and Europe) followed by a discussion of gender awareness at the Universities of Rijeka (Croatia) and Ljubljana (Slovenia). A Toolkit for integrating gender-sensitive approach into research and teaching will focus on practical aspects including ethical problems.
