On April 15 and 16, an Industrial Workshop with THREAD's partner Principia SAS will be held.

The online workshop will address the modelling of offshore wind turbines, a major industrial challenge in the context of the energy transition. Among many issues, the design of these plants involves specific slender structure issues related to the blades and the mooring lines.

Principia develops the FEA software DeepLines Wind, based on a beam model, to model these structures under various loads. The workshop proposed by Principia will allow to learn about the issues related to these platforms, and to carry out practical works using DeepLines Wind to build own models of offshore wind turbines.
