Defence of Marielle’s doctoral thesis

POSTED: 28 November 2023

More than ten ESRs have already completed their 36-month projects in THREAD and are working hard to finalise their PhD theses in the near future. On Thursday 7 December, Marielle Debeurre (ENSAM) will be the first THREAD PhD student to defend her thesis supervised by Olivier Thomas.

Marielle's work in the ESR 13 project Nonlinear dynamics of slender beams: frequency domain numerical strategies and reduced order modelling has been quite successful. She contributed actively to several international conferences and publishes in top-level journals like Nonlinear Dynamics and Journal of Sound and Vibration. Two more papers are in preparation.

Experimental validation of the numerical model for highly flexible beam structures

The defence of the doctoral thesis titled Nonlinear dynamics of highly flexible slender beams: efficient numerical strategies in the frequency domain will start at 14:00 CEST and takes place in the Rochefoucauld conference room located on the Lille campus of Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology (8 boulevard Louis XIV, 59000 Lille). Some other ESRs plan to participate in the defence online via videoconference on Microsoft Teams.

Good luck, Marielle.
