Working at the University of Innsbruck has been a wonderful experience. The great team of mechatronics has welcomed us as part of the group since the beginning. During the days at the university, we were able to learn not only from Prof. Gerstmayr and ESR 8 Konstantina Ntarladima but also from the other PhD students and post-doc part of the same group. It was also a nice experience that our secondments were held at the same time as it contributed to even more connecting, sharing ideas and knowledge.
Mountains, lakes and wild nature surround the University of Innsbruck. Therefore, the teamwork did not stop inside the university building. On two different occasions, we walked on the side of the mountain. One of the excursions allowed us to visit on-site the cable cars. It was possible to explain how the theoretical model works using a live installation.
In the weekends, it was possible to explore the beautiful city of Innsbruck and its surroundings. Many tourists populate the old city center, and there is a joyful atmosphere in the streets. The secondment was a success from many points of view. We would like to thank again Prof. Gerstmayr and his research group for welcoming us.
